On the 6th, YG Entertainment announced to Xportsnews, “Currently, G-Dragon’s exclusive contract has expired, and we are cooperating through separate agreements for activities such as advertisements and other projects.”
They further stated, “We plan to negotiate additional contracts when G-Dragon resumes his music activities, and YG will spare no support for him.”
According to the recent quarterly report released by YG, it was confirmed that G-Dragon’s name was not included in the list of major contracted artists as of March 31st this year. Fans have speculated that this indicates G-Dragon may be looking for a new agency.
With this development, all the members of Big Bang have left YG Entertainment. Taeyang has joined THEBLACKLABEL, which is led by Teddy, and Daesung has found a new home at RND COMPANY, a subsidiary of YG.
