{"id":1015,"date":"2023-05-31T05:13:16","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T05:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bongonakpop.com\/?p=1015"},"modified":"2023-05-31T05:13:17","modified_gmt":"2023-05-31T05:13:17","slug":"male-idol-group-member-imprisonment-forced-sexual-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bongonakpop.com\/?p=1015","title":{"rendered":"Member of Male Idol Group Sentenced to 2 Years and 6 Months of Suspended Imprisonment for Forced Sexual Assault"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bongonakpop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/male-Silhouette.jpg\" alt=\"male Silhouette\" class=\"wp-image-1016\" width=\"710\" height=\"471\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The former member of a 6-member male idol group has been sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of suspended imprisonment for the charges of forcibly assaulting a fellow group member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the 30th, the Criminal Conciliation Division 29 of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Kim Seung-jeong) sentenced Mr. A, who was accused of forced sexual assault and attempted rape, to 2 years and 6 months of suspended imprisonment, and ordered him to complete 80 hours of sexual violence treatment program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. A was accused of touching the body of victim Mr. B, who is also a member of the group, on at least three occasions from 2017 to 2021, in places such as dormitories and practice rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the trial, Mr. A admitted to the charge of forced sexual assault but denied the charge of attempted rape. The court regarded the victim&#8217;s statement as specific and consistent, and considered Mr. A guilty of all charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. B reported the incident to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul in 2021, and the Seoul Central District Prosecutors&#8217; Office referred Mr. A to trial in January on charges of forced sexual assault and attempted rape.
