Hyoyeon discussed her thoughts on Girls’ Generation’s upcoming 20th anniversary.<\/p>\n

On January 19, a video was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Donghaemulgwa Baekdunhyeok’ where Hyoyeon spoke about the group’s potential 20th-anniversary comeback. She stated, “We need to talk among ourselves to determine if it’s going to happen or not. Everyone has different thoughts, and we are currently in the stage of discussing our opinions.” She added, “Sooyoung is working out to prepare for it, while I’m still wondering, ‘Is this really going to happen?'”<\/p>\n

She also recalled their 15th-anniversary reunion: “We all gathered for our 15th anniversary and released a song. Even after five years, it felt the same as before. Some members were late and unfocused during practice.” She continued, “If practice is for three hours, Tiffany signals us to focus for one hour. When Yoona, Yuri, and I keep joking around, she looks exasperated but eventually gives in.”<\/p>\n

Donghae then asked if, given their maturity and maintained beauty, she had any desire to be at the center for the 20th anniversary. Hyoyeon candidly replied, “I’ve been brainwashed. It’s scary because I’ve done it this way for over ten years, so that spot doesn’t feel like mine anymore.”<\/p>\n

Hyoyeon elaborated, “It feels like I should step aside for a bit. No one told me to move back, but I feel my place is to the side, and it makes me feel bittersweet.”<\/p>\n

When Donghae and Eunhyuk expressed interest in potential changes to Girls’ Generation’s positions, Hyoyeon remarked, “It’s time to try something new.” She further suggested, “Taeyeon and Yoona should move to the back. These days, there are so many cameras that they’ll get shots from anywhere.
