Police are taking full measures to ensure safety, including deploying special forces, for BTS’s comeback concert at Gwanghwamun.<\/p>\n

On the 9th, Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner Park Jungbo stated in a regular press conference regarding the BTS concert, “We are preparing for the event’s safety with a task force led by the public safety chief of Seoul Police Headquarters,” adding, “We plan to assign a chief officer to each of the 15 divided zones.”<\/p>\n

BTS will hold the ‘BTS Comeback Live: Arirang’ on March 21 at 8 PM at Gwanghwamun Square, where they will premiere their new song at one of Korea’s most iconic locations.<\/p>\n

This marks the first time a musical artist will hold a concert at Gwanghwamun Square. As this marks BTS’s first full-group performance after their military discharge, police anticipate a large crowd near the concert venue.<\/p>\n

Commissioner Park stated, “If the area from Gwanghwamun Wol-dae to Sungnyemun is filled, we expect up to 260,000 people,” adding that they are preparing for a maximum turnout.<\/p>\n

Police have also implemented measures to address potential incidents at the site. Commissioner Park mentioned, “Thirteen criminal investigation teams from nine police stations in Seoul will be deployed to respond instantly to criminal incidents,” and “Special forces will also be deployed for security and crowd control.”<\/p>\n

Authorities will strengthen online crime monitoring. A dedicated cyber investigation team will be formed to intensely monitor illegal macro bookings and fraudulent sales of tickets and accommodations.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, BTS will release their 5th studio album ‘Arirang’ on March 20, a day before the concert, and will kick off a massive world tour starting April 9 at the Goyang Sports Complex Stadium, covering 34 cities and 82 performances.<\/p>\n
