Netflix’s original series ‘Bridgerton Season 4’ (‘Bridgerton 4’) has garnered attention by reaching second place in the domestic series category.<\/p>\n

Part 2 of ‘Bridgerton 4,’ based on ‘An Offer From A Gentleman’ and focusing on Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson), was released on the 26th.<\/p>\n

‘Bridgerton 4’ drew significant domestic attention when Korean-Australian actress Hayelin, granddaughter of Son Sook, was cast as Benedict’s romantic interest. Following the release of Part 1 on the 29th of last month, the series claimed the global No. 1 spot in the TV show category for two consecutive weeks.<\/p>\n

However, in Korea, it entered the charts at 7th place and rose to 3rd but struggled to climb higher. Its previous season’s highest achievement was 2nd place.<\/p>\n

However, by the 27th, immediately after Part 2’s release, it surprised fans by leaping to 2nd place.<\/p>\n

Netflix’s foreign original series have historically struggled in the Korean market, never achieving a ‘full kill’ (reaching the top spot). Beyond the ‘Bridgerton’ series, even major Netflix franchises such as ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ and ‘Wednesday Season 2,’ despite achieving global No. 1 rankings, only peaked at 5th and 3rd place, respectively, in Korea.<\/p>\n

During those periods, strong local dramas like ‘Kiss for Nothing!’ and ‘The Tyrant’s Chef,’ along with variety shows such as ‘Three Meals in Kenya,’ prevented them from climbing higher.<\/p>\n

Currently, ‘Bridgerton 4’ faces stiff competition from ‘Lady Dua,’ starring Shin Hye-sun and Lee Joon-hyuk, and the newly released ‘Agents of Mystery,’ which premiered on the 27th.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether ‘Bridgerton 4,’ with its Korean-Australian star, can become the first foreign original series to claim the top spot in Korea’s TOP10 series category.<\/p>\n
