BTS’s V, often cited as one of the world’s most handsome men, shared a story of how seeing actor Kang Dong-won’s face once made him feel discouraged.<\/p>\n

On the 29th, a video titled “Hello, This is BTS’s V. Please Take Care of Me!” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Yeojeong Jaehyung,’ hosted by Jung Jae-hyung.<\/p>\n

In the video, Jung Jae-hyung asked V about the moment he first dreamed of becoming a singer.<\/p>\n

V recalled, “When I was in elementary school, I was often advised to pursue professions starting with the letter ‘S’ [referring to prestigious jobs like doctor or lawyer]. When I expressed my desire to become a singer, my grandmother told me that only exceptionally talented individuals become singers and actors.”<\/p>\n

Jung Jae-hyung then recounted his own family’s opposition to his musical aspirations, saying, “My family always opposed it. They would strongly disagree with pursuing music.” Turning to V, he added, “I told V, if it doesn’t work out, let’s just film five minutes of one eye, five minutes of one nose, and five minutes of the mouth. Your face is beautiful enough for that, isn’t it? People often doubted that you could be a singer in the past, didn’t they?”<\/p>\n

In response, V said, “There was a banner featuring Kang Dong-won, and my grandmother pointed at it, telling me, ‘Those are the kind of people who become stars.’ I accepted it,” he recalled, eliciting laughter.<\/p>\n

Jung Jae-hyung then praised him, saying, “Back then, no one could have guessed you would become a world star. It’s the first time someone who has achieved so much has visited our home. Hearing about your success in Geochang makes me incredibly proud.”<\/p>\n

V proudly remarked, “These days, I hear that I’m the one featured on banners in Geochang,” to which Jung Jae-hyung responded, “Becoming someone’s dream is an incredible achievement.”<\/p>\n

V shared, “I actually gave up on my dream of becoming a singer for a while. After seeing Kang Dong-won, I thought, ‘That’s what a celebrity looks like.’ Still, I loved music and being on stage. I was quite adept at dancing during holidays to earn pocket money, and I wasn’t shy about it at all.”<\/p>\n

He continued, “I loved dancing so much that if someone said, ‘If Taehyung (V’s real name) dances, I’ll give him 5,000 won,’ I would dance for about three minutes straight.
