Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon expressed frustration as the group approaches its 20th anniversary. On May 1, a video titled “Welcome, First Time with BIGBANG and Girls’ Generation Combo? | Jipdaesung ep.105 Hyoyeon” was released on Daesung’s YouTube channel ‘Jipdaesung’.<\/p>\n

In the video, Daesung mentioned Girls’ Generation’s 20th anniversary, asking, “Shouldn’t Girls’ Generation start preparing? Is it too early?” Hyoyeon responded, “We recently had a Zoom meeting,” adding, “How do you meet, on Zoom or in person?”<\/p>\n

Daesung replied, “We meet in person, as it’s more basic,” and speculated that the group held a virtual meeting due to some members being overseas.<\/p>\n

However, Hyoyeon expressed discontent, stating, “Everyone was in Korea,” and revealed, “It’s hard to coordinate everyone’s opinions. With eight members speaking sequentially, it took over two to three hours.”<\/p>\n

She continued, “During the meeting, some would turn off their cameras. I thought they were doing other things, subtly shifting angles until only ears were visible. As a result, no detailed discussions took place.”<\/p>\n

Hyoyeon also mentioned, “The dynamic has changed a bit, with Tiffany, Yoona, and Sooyoung seemingly taking the lead,” noting that the 20th-anniversary project is being prepared under their leadership.<\/p>\n
