News reports indicate that Taecyeon, a member of the group 2PM and an actor, will be getting married in April, bringing past photos of him back into the spotlight.
On February 25, it was reported that Taecyeon will hold his wedding on April 24 in Seoul. Taecyeon’s agency, 51k, cautiously stated, “Since the bride is not a celebrity, it’s difficult to disclose detailed information including the schedule. We ask for your understanding.”
Taecyeon previously announced his intention to marry in November of last year. At that time, he planned a spring 2026 wedding and released a handwritten letter stating, “I promised to spend my life with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We plan to be each other’s strong support and walk this path together.”
Following his marriage announcement, Taecyeon garnered attention at the ‘2025 KBS Drama Awards,’ where he and Lee Jun-young jointly received the Best Actor award in the long-form drama category. Taecyeon was honored for ‘I Took the Male Lead’s First Night,’ while Lee Jun-young was recognized for ’24-Hour Fitness Club.’ During his acceptance speech, he stated, “I sincerely thank my fiancée. Jihye, I love you.”
This has brought past snapshots taken with his fiancée back into focus. In February last year, photos of Taecyeon with his fiancée in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, circulated online. The pictures show Taecyeon kneeling and presenting a ring, leading to speculation of a proposal.
At that time, 51k commented that “Taecyeon took the photo ahead of his girlfriend’s birthday,” denying it was a proposal. The company that leaked the snapshots also apologized, clarifying they were unaware of Taecyeon’s celebrity status.
Despite this, as news of the wedding emerged about a year after the photo was leaked, congratulations have been pouring in.
Meanwhile, Taecyeon’s fiancée is a non-celebrity who is four years younger than him. The couple has been quietly dating since acknowledging their relationship in 2020.
