BIG Naughty, an artist, has published an apology statement regarding the controversy that arose from his physical contact with his girlfriend on stage.
On the 4th, BIG Naughty performed on stage at the “Tone & Music Festival 2023” held at Seoul Olympic Park. While unveiling an unreleased song, BIG Naughty suddenly turned towards the back of the stage, leaving the audience and band section waiting without knowing the reason.
However, it was revealed that BIG Naughty turned towards the back of the stage to engage in physical contact with his girlfriend. After a brief moment of affection, he returned to the stage, which sparked controversy.
In response to the situation, BIG Naughty apologized during a live broadcast, admitting that he had been reckless. On the 7th, he expressed his apologies once again through a handwritten apology letter.
BIG Naughty stated, “I sincerely apologize to all the shining fans who support me and my music, for causing great disappointment. I apologize wholeheartedly for my reckless attitude, immature actions, and the wasted outcome they caused.”
He continued, “Out of immaturity and thoughtlessness, I temporarily left the stage during the instrumental part, causing discomfort not only to the audience but also to those who witnessed it. I conveyed my state of mind at that time.”
Reflecting on the controversy, BIG Naughty emphasized how blessed and grateful he is to be able to stand on stage, create music, and sing. He concluded his apology letter by saying, “Please scold me a lot so that I can grow. I am always thankful and sorry.”
On a different note, BIG Naughty gained much love through Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 8” in 2019 and has released hit songs such as “Beyond Love” and “Hopeless Romantic” since his debut.

“Hello, this is BIG Naughty. With a heavy heart, I picked up the pen to talk about what happened at the Tone & Music Festival. First of all, I sincerely apologize for disappointing the shining fans who support me and my music without asking for anything in return.
I also apologize sincerely for the precious time and efforts of the audience who came to watch the performance, which I wasted with my reckless attitude and personal and immature actions.
To explain the situation at that time, while I was singing an encore, I made a thoughtless and brief decision to leave the stage during the instrumental part, causing inconvenience to the audience, as well as those who witnessed it and the staff involved in the performance. I am truly sorry.
Through this incident, I will once again remember how blessed and grateful I am to be able to stand on stage, create music, and sing. I will reflect and strive to become a better person, create better music, and receive even greater love. Please scold me a lot so that I can grow. I am always thankful and sorry.
