BTS Jin Excluded from ‘Arirang’ Credits… Fans Upset

BTS member Jin’s name was excluded from the credits of the group’s new album.

On the 20th, BTS celebrated the release of their fifth full-length album ‘Arirang’ with a live broadcast featuring all members.

During their album discussion, RM expressed his regret, stating, “Each member’s unique style was reflected,” and adding, “If Jin’s tour had ended a bit earlier, he could have joined us.”

V explained, “There was time to work together, but Jin was not in good condition due to the ongoing tour.” RM reiterated, “He went through a lot. It was unfortunate.”

Jimin added, “Thanks to him for maintaining the team, we were able to release the album,” giving it greater meaning. Jin commented, “I’m glad we came up with great songs.”

While the members held a ‘song camp’ in the U.S. for the new album, Jin, who had been discharged and started solo activities, was on his tour schedule. The timing of the song camp coincided with Jin’s tour, ultimately preventing his name from being included in the ‘Arirang’ credits.

During this conversation, Jin’s expression notably stiffened, and Jungkook silently comforted him by patting his shoulder.

The fandom’s reactions were varied.

Some fans questioned, “Couldn’t the song camp have been delayed?” while others argued, “How can a pre-scheduled tour be adjusted?” Further comments included, “The overlapping schedules are unreasonable,” “It seems like Jin is being oddly blamed,” “I’ve never seen that expression on Seokjin,” and “This is too much.”

Additionally, some pointed out that Jin joined them in the U.S. after finishing his tour, but the album work was already completed, fueling further complaints.

Meanwhile, after releasing ‘Arirang’ on the 20th, BTS launched their comeback with ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square on the 21st. The group is scheduled to appear together on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ airing on the 26th and 27th in the U.S.
