The major historical drama ‘Divine Bead,’ starring Claudia Kim, has been invited to the Cannes International Series Festival, marking its entry into the global content market.
This invitation not only demonstrates the global competitiveness of Korean historical dramas but also marks a significant milestone in Claudia Kim’s ongoing international career.
Produced by SLL, ‘Divine Bead’ is slated for a world premiere in the RENDEZ-VOUS section of the non-competitive division at the 9th Cannes International Series Festival.
Claudia Kim and Ahn Bo-hyun will attend the local event, engaging directly with global fans via the pink carpet and local screenings, thereby further increasing interest in the production.
Set in the year 1258 during Korea’s Goryeo Dynasty, ‘Divine Bead’ tells the story of the heroic struggles of a convoy searching for the sacred relic Kwanum Bead amidst a bleak war with Mongolia, and the story of a princess trying to save them.
Claudia Kim has made her mark on the global stage, becoming the first Korean actor to appear in a Marvel film, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ and also featuring in major productions such as ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,’ ‘The Dark Tower,’ and ‘Equals.’
