The group Cortiz shared its candid feelings about being labeled the ‘BTS junior group’.

On the 10th, YouTube channel ‘TEO Theo’ released a video titled ‘Five Months Into Debut, Turning Red When Asked to Speak’.

The video featured Martin and Gunho of Cortiz, who discussed their experiences since their debut.

Host Jang Do-yeon remarked that Cortiz’s average age was 17, prompting Martin to reveal he was born in 2008 and Gunho in 2009, which surprised her.

The group explained its appearance on ‘Salon Drip,’ stating, “Although this isn’t our promotional period, we’ve always wanted to be on this program.”

Gunho shared that the group is currently preparing its second album, which Martin jokingly referred to as its “survival report.”

Jang Do-yeon asked if the ‘BTS junior group’ title was burdensome at debut, despite the love and attention the group garnered.

Martin admitted, “It’s true, it was a heavy burden. We listened to a lot of advice from our seniors and felt we had to succeed and perform just as well.”

Gunho also mentioned a recent meeting with J-Hope, stating, “He treats us very casually, like younger siblings.”

Martin added, “He even joked, ‘Martin, you’re not growing taller, are you?’ It felt like seeing an older cousin after a long time.”

Cortiz, a five-member boy group, debuted last August under BigHit Music, gaining attention with the ‘BTS junior group’ title.
