Actor Lee Byung-hun graced the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards.

On January 11 (local time), Lee Byung-hun appeared on the red carpet of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

Lee, sporting an all-black suit, smiled calmly for photographers worldwide, drawing enthusiastic flashes.

Lee Byung-hun earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his role in “No Other Choice,” directed by Park Chan-wook.

Along with Lee, contenders for Best Actor include Ethan Hawke for “Blue Moon,” George Clooney for “Jay Kelly,” Jesse Plemons for “Bogonia,” Leonardo DiCaprio for “One Battle After Another,” and Timothée Chalamet for “Marty Supreme.”

If Lee Byung-hun wins, he will be the first Korean actor to receive a Golden Globe for Best Actor.

“No Other Choice” also secured three nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Non-English Language Film.

Additionally, the Netflix animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters” received three nominations: Best Animated Feature Film, Best Motion Picture – Box Office, and Best Original Song.

“No Other Choice,” which premiered on September 24 last year, tells the story of Man-soo (portrayed by Lee Byung-hun), an office worker who, after feeling he had “achieved everything” in life, suddenly faces unemployment. The film follows his struggle to protect his family and home, as he prepares for his own battle towards re-employment. It attracted 2.94 million viewers domestically.
