EJAE (Kim Eun-jae), the first K-pop artist to win at the 68th Grammy Awards, is preparing to marry.
On the 6th, Maeil Business Newspaper reported that EJAE and her fiancé, Korean-American producer Sam Kim, will marry on November 7.
The couple, who have dated since 2017, are reportedly holding their ceremony at a golf course in Los Angeles. The venue is operated by EJAE’s mother, Shin Hye-jin, who serves as the vice president of SeYoung Enterprise.
Previously, on the 26th of last month, EJAE announced her engagement on social media, revealing that Sam Kim had proposed.
Last November, during an appearance on iHeartRadio’s ‘104.3 MYfm,’ she confirmed her engagement and shared, “I’m planning to marry next fall.” She humorously added, “Right now, I’m thinking more about my Grammy and Academy Awards dresses than a wedding dress.”
When the host reacted with surprise, she laughed, commenting, “Those dresses might help with my wedding dress.”
EJAE, born in Seoul in 1991, will turn 35 this year. The Korean-American artist is also the granddaughter of actor Shin Young-kyun.
She previously trained at SM Entertainment before transitioning to a composer. She gained recognition by co-writing Red Velvet’s ‘Psycho.’
Subsequently, she has worked on songs for various groups, including Taeyeon, TWICE, NMIXX, and aespa. EJAE also lent her singing voice to the character LUMI in the Netflix original film ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ and participated in several tracks, including the OST ‘Golden.’
