Singer G-Dragon surprised YouTuber and broadcaster Mimiminuu, who served as the MC for his fan meeting, with an unexpected gift.
On the 20th, the YouTube channel ‘Mimiminuu’ released a video titled, “‘Did Mimiminuu Cry Again?’ Saw BIGBANG G-DRAGON’s First Solo Fan Meeting as MC”.
The released video features Mimiminuu preparing for G-Dragon’s fan meeting as an MC, along with an interview with G-Dragon at the event.
When Mimiminuu asked, “When did you find out about me?”, G-Dragon replied, “I first saw you when I was on break, watching your content as if you were giving a lecture about me.” He jokingly added, “I thought, ‘That person is crazy.'” He also commented, “When I first came across this friend, I thought, ‘Who is this? Amazing. A bit scary.'”
G-Dragon also mentioned the process of selecting the MC. He said, “There were quite a few strong candidates for MC. All of them were quite accomplished, save for Yoo Jae-suk,” which surprised Mimiminuu. To this, Mimiminuu jokingly added, “But in the end, I was chosen.”
Later, when Mimiminuu brought up G-Dragon’s remaining overseas fan meeting schedule, G-Dragon asked, “Do you have a lot of time?” Mimiminuu answered, “I cleared my schedule upon hearing about it,” but subtitles on the video revealed the Japan schedule was canceled due to visa issues, eliciting laughter.
G-Dragon then announced he had prepared a gift for Mimiminuu. He emphasized, “It’s a kind of bribe to look favorably upon me. It doesn’t violate the Kim Young-ran Act because I’m just giving what I already have and used. It’s not something I bought separately; it’s something I already had.”
The gift bag displayed the phrase “limited edition product” from a collaboration between G-Dragon’s brand Peaceminusone and luxury jewelry brand Jacob & Co. The necklace, a limited-edition item from the collaboration, is known to range from a minimum of $1,200 (approximately ₩1.75 million) to a maximum of $11,000 (approximately ₩16 million), depending on the model.
Receiving the gift, Mimiminuu, with an emotional expression, said, “I will cherish it until the moment I die,” evoking laughter.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon held a fan meeting in Seoul for three days starting the 6th and will continue with solo fan meetings in Yokohama, Japan, from the 13th to the 15th, and in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 21st and 22nd.
