Hearts2Hearts, SM’s youngest group, celebrated a momentous day, receiving the Rookie of the Year award on member Aina’s birthday.
The 2025 Melon Music Awards (The 17th Melon Music Awards, or ‘MMA2025’) took place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 20th.
Actors Kim Min-kyu and Kim Ji-yeon presented the award, announcing Hearts2Hearts as the second recipient of the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award.
Yeon expressed gratitude, saying, “We want to thank our fandom, ‘Hachu,’ for this award. Thanks to your enthusiastic support, we shine on stage and find happiness in performing. We will repay you with better music and performances. We love you.”
Aina sincerely thanked their managers, staff, and dancers, stating, “Thank you to the managers and staff who have been working hard behind the scenes, and to the many dancers who performed with us this year. Thanks to my fellow members for all the hard work. Let’s continue our efforts.”
Joo-eun added, “We never expected to win. We thought we were just here to perform, so I’m grateful and honored to receive this meaningful award. Today is also our one-of-a-kind member Aina’s birthday.”
The group celebrated Aina’s birthday on-site, creating a heartwarming atmosphere.
The 2025 Melon Music Awards also featured performances by G-DRAGON, Jay Park, 10CM, Zico, EXO, WOODZ, JENNIE, aespa, IVE, Han Loro, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, PLAVE, NCT WISH, ILLIT, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, ALLDAY PROJECT, IDID, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
