Im YoonA, a member of Girls’ Generation and an actress, is returning as a singer.
According to Xportsnews on the 10th, Im YoonA is set to release a new digital single this month. She plans to showcase the song for the first time at a fan meeting in Seoul.
This year, Im YoonA has been active as an actress, starring in the tvN drama “The Chef of the Tyrant” and the movie “The Devil Came to Visit.” In “The Chef of the Tyrant,” she played a French chef named Yoon Ji-young who time-travels to the past, delivering a compelling survival story and a poignant romance with Lee Chae-min, garnering positive reviews.
Moreover, “The Chef of the Tyrant” topped the viewership ratings among miniseries aired this year and ranked first for two consecutive weeks in Netflix’s Global TOP10 TV (Non-English) category, achieving significant success both domestically and internationally.
Having built a solid career with successive hits following last year’s JTBC drama “King the Land,” Im YoonA is closing the year by reconnecting with her roots as a singer.
Meanwhile, the fan meeting “Bon Appetit, Your Majesty YOONA DRAMA FANMEETING” (“The Chef of the Tyrant” YoonA Drama Fan Meeting) will be held on the 20th at the Grand Auditorium of Seoul Women’s University.
