IU Continues Her Philanthropic Efforts at Year-End with 200 Million Won Donation

Singer and actress IU has made a generous donation of 200 million won to mark the year-end, spreading warmth through her charitable actions.

On the 31st, EDAM Entertainment announced, “IU donated a total of 200 million won in the name of ‘IUAENA’ (IU+Uaena) to celebrate the year-end.”

The funds will support a variety of vulnerable groups, including single mothers, young people preparing for independence, people with disabilities, and the elderly.

The funds were distributed to the ‘Korea Single Mothers Family Association,’ the ‘National Center for the Rights of the Child,’ ‘Snail of Love,’ and the ‘Wooyang Foundation,’ with each receiving 50 million won. This contribution will aid single mothers facing economic and social challenges, cover initial independence costs for young adults who have aged out of care, support cochlear implant surgeries and hearing aids for those with hearing impairments, and provide food for the elderly at risk of hunger during the winter.

IU has consistently shared her positive influence by making donations under the name ‘IUAENA’ on meaningful days such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and the year-end.

In March of this year, she donated 200 million won for large-scale wildfire relief in Gyeongsang Province and to improve the treatment of firefighters. On Children’s Day, she contributed 150 million won for children and adolescents, and also donated 200 million won each for vulnerable groups on her birthday and debut anniversary, continuing her compassionate support.
