Singer and actress IU reflected on her first meeting with Park Myung-soo.
On the morning of the 4th, the “DdeunDdeun” YouTube channel uploaded a video titled ‘Fate is an Excuse’. IU and Byun Woo-seok, stars of the drama “The Great Wife of the 21st Century,” appeared as guests.
In the video, Yoo Jae-suk mentioned an unforgettable scene, stating, “Whenever IU is on, this story comes up.”
He explained, “During ‘Infinite Challenge’ in 2009, Jessica and Myung-soo hyung sang ‘Cold Noodles’ together, and it became popular. Later, Myung-soo hyung had to perform at an event, but Jessica couldn’t make it due to her busy schedule, so IU came as a guest to sing Jessica’s part.”
Yoo Jae-suk continued, “So Myung-soo hyung said, ‘Who is she? Call Jessica! Call Jessica!’ Considering IU was only 17 and could have been hurt, I was curious about her reaction. However, her expression showed confidence and poise, making that moment unforgettable.”
IU commented, “Even back then, I wasn’t the type to get intimidated easily.” Yoo Jae-suk then revealed, “Since then, Myung-soo hyung always apologizes to IU.”
IU added, “He’s been apologizing for almost 20 years. Myung-soo is such a kind person,” which elicited laughter.
