J.Y. Park Donates 4 Billion Won Over 4 Years, Exemplifying True ‘Noblesse Oblige’

J.Y. Park

J.Y. Park has once again contributed 1 billion won of his personal funds this year to support children in vulnerable situations both domestically and internationally. Since 2022, he has donated a total of 4 billion won over four years, giving back the love he received from the public and embodying true ‘noblesse oblige.’

The singer and JYP Entertainment’s chief producer, Park Jin-young, donated 1 billion won this year to assist children and adolescents in vulnerable situations facing high surgery and medical treatment costs. The funds from his personal contributions were distributed to Gachon University Gil Medical Center, Konyang University Hospital, and Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, with each receiving 200 million won, and 400 million won was given to World Vision. The donations to World Vision will be used to support medical expenses for children in Mexico and Brazil, and also help with recovery efforts in Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, which have suffered from recent floods and landslides.

Specifically, Park Jin-young’s impressive personal donations of 1 billion won annually from 2022 to 2025, totaling 4 billion won, have been amplifying positive influence and making him a social role model. Having maintained his stature in the music industry for over 30 years, he continues to lead the culture of sharing through sincere, consistent charitable activities. JYP, under his leadership, also donated 1.714 billion won this year to life-saving treatment support for children, with a cumulative donation of 7.92 billion won since 2020, helping over 3,000 children worldwide.

On the afternoon of the 4th, a donation ceremony for the ‘Support for Medical Expenses for Vulnerable Groups’ was held at JYP’s headquarters in Seonnam-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Attendees included donor Park Jin-young, Gachon University Gil Medical Center’s Director Kim Woo-kyung, Konyang University Hospital’s Planning and Coordination Director Kim Cheol-joong, Seoul National University Hospital’s Children’s Hospital Director Choi Eun-hwa, and World Vision’s Head of Sharing Business Division Na Yoon-cheol, who highlighted the purpose of the donation and its significance.

Park Jin-young expressed his feelings by saying, “I hope you will treat all children, who have infinite potential to change the world, so they can freely pursue their dreams and grow up healthy. Please ensure the support goes where it is truly needed. I have two daughters, aged six and five, and meeting the children receiving treatment evokes the same bright eyes as my daughters, deepening my commitment. JYP and its artists will continue to work hard to maintain this spirit of giving. I hope the transparent use of donations will spread the culture of sharing and support children in need.”

Warming the end of 2025, J.Y. Park and JYP began by holding a year-end charity concert at Samsung Seoul Hospital in 2002 for pediatric patients, and systematized CSR activities in 2019. Under the slogan ‘Every Dream Matters!,’ they actively support medical expenses for children in economic hardship through the ‘EDM Treatment Support Project,’ emotionally bolster children with incurable diseases through the ‘EDM Wish Fulfillment Project,’ and cultivate healthier living environments through the ‘Love Earth’ environmental initiative.

Further details can be found in J.Y. Park’s video content ‘2025 JYP EDM DAY,’ which highlights the annual EDM social contribution activities. ‘2025 JYP EDM DAY’ will be available on JYP’s official YouTube channel on the 15th at 2 PM.
