Although no joint photo was captured, both artists took home top awards. Jennie was the first to win ‘Record of the Year,’ one of the four grand prizes.
Expressing gratitude, Jennie stated, “I’m still overwhelmed from just finishing the stage, but I’m so grateful for this big award. This year has been incredibly meaningful. I’ve released my first album and a lot has happened, so I’m glad to end the year happily. To our company OA, are you watching? You’ve worked so hard, and I love you.” She also thanked her staff and 50 dancers, promising to continue making great music.
Jennie also expressed her longing for her BLACKPINK members, stating, “I miss my members so much. It’s lonely being alone. I always love you, BLINKs.”
G-Dragon secured the remaining three grand prizes: ‘Album of the Year,’ ‘Artist of the Year,’ and ‘Best Song,’ thus reaffirming his stature.
G-Dragon began his thank you speech, saying, “I just finished my stage, so I’m overwhelmed, but I’m thankful for the award. Each year is special and precious, but this year will remain significant to me.” He also expressed gratitude to his VIPs (fans) and stated he missed his Big Bang members.
