“Lovely” Gong Hyo-jin (Management SOOP) entertains audiences with the film “The Neighbor Upstairs” (directed by Ha Jung-woo). The unpredictable story unfolds as couples from the upstairs (Ha Jung-woo & Lee Ha-nee) and downstairs (Gong Hyo-jin & Kim Dong-wook) spend a dinner together due to strange noises each night. Gong Hyo-jin plays the curious downstairs wife Jeong-a, earning praise for her portrayal of realistic marital conflicts and emotions, adding delightful humor and intriguing tension.
The Netflix series “Confession’s Price” (directed by Lee Jung-hyo, written by Kwon Jong-gwan), featuring Kakao Entertainment’s “reliable actors” like Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Go-eun, and Park Hae-soo (BH Entertainment), will be released on the 5th. It unfolds a mystery thriller where Yoon-soo, accused of murdering her husband, and Mo-eun, a mysterious figure called a witch, are caught in intriguing events. Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun respectively portray Yoon-soo, suddenly accused, and Mo-eun, who exploits Yoon-soo’s desperation for a deal, showcasing their limitless transformation and chemistry. Park Hae-soo plays Prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon, determined to uncover their secret dealings with intense dedication.
Park Seo-joon (Awesome ENT) plans to enthrall viewers with the heartwarming romance in the JTBC drama “Waiting for Kyung-do” (written by Yoo Young-a, directed by Lim Hyun-wook), airing on the 6th. The love story centers around Lee Kyung-do and Seo Ji-woo, reuniting after a breakup, now as a journalist and the wife of a scandal’s subject. Park Seo-joon portrays the level-headed deputy editor Lee Kyung-do, depicting a touching romance from his first love with deep emotional acting.
Romance specialist Seo Hyun-jin (Management SOOP) returns on the 19th with the JTBC Friday series “Love Me” (directed by Jo Young-min, written by Park Eun-young and Park Hee-kwon). It chronicles a somewhat ordinary family’s growth as they each find love. Seo Hyun-jin plays obstetrician Seo Jun-gyeong, who closed her heart after her mother’s accident seven years ago, delicately portraying her path to learning love through a neighbor who understands her loneliness.
Park Hae-soo also stars in the Netflix film “The Great Flood” (directed by Kim Byung-woo), depicting a struggle for survival on the last day of humanity, in a flooded apartment building. Park Hae-soo plays Hee-jo, a security team member for an AI research facility, providing steadfast support to Anna (played by Kim Da-mi) during an overwhelming disaster.
On Christmas Eve, December 24, Hyun Bin (VAST Entertainment) will appear in Disney+’s original series “Made in Korea” (written by Park Eun-kyo and Park Joon-seok, directed by Woo Min-ho). The story set in the conflicted yet burgeoning 1970s South Korea follows Baek Ki-tae, who aims to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power, using the nation as a profit model, and Prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who relentlessly pursues him. Hyun Bin, fresh off a restrained portrayal in the film “Harbin,” now takes on Baek Ki-tae, showcasing ambition and raw desire in a powerful performance.
Rising stars Choo Young-woo (J Wide Company) and Shin Si-a (Management SOOP) will greet audiences on Christmas Eve with the film “Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight” (directed by Kim Hye-young), a youthful melodrama about Seo-yoon, who loses her memory each day, and Jae-won, who fills her memory daily, creating a striking chemistry. Choo Young-woo takes on Jae-won, while Shin Si-a portrays Seo-yoon, drawing attention for their heart-fluttering chemistry.
