BTS member Jungkook’s recent drunken livestream sparked a heated debate, prompting a revisiting of past instances of other stars’ drunken broadcasts.
Around 3:30 AM on the 26th, Jungkook held a live broadcast on the fan communication platform Weverse for about an hour and a half.
He drank with his roommate and older brother, broadcasting in a more relaxed atmosphere than usual.
While sharing updates as he prepares for a comeback, Jungkook candidly confessed, “I smoked a lot, but I really tried hard to quit.” He then mentioned his agency, BigHit Music, saying, “The moment I talk about this, the company’s going to go crazy again.”

He expressed frustration, saying, “It’s just annoying. I want to live as I please. I don’t care about the company,” but added, “I don’t want to lose things I hold dear.”
Jungkook further worried fans, remarking, “I wanted to be honest with ARMY. If it weren’t for the company, I’d want to talk about everything,” and, “If I were doing music on my own, I’d speak without worries.”
He also made obscene gestures to a friend and shouted English expletives (F**k) at the camera.
The incident recalled previous instances involving Jeon Hyun-moo and BoA.

In April of last year, Jeon Hyun-moo started a live broadcast on his social media account, greeting viewers.
After a brief initial livestream ended, he started another shortly after, which surprised everyone with singer BoA’s presence.
During the broadcast, BoA touched Jeon’s cheek and responded to questions about a romantic rumor between Jeon and comedian Park Na-rae by saying, “I don’t think they’re dating,” and “He’s too good for her.” She also commented on Jeon’s cautiousness by saying, “I feel closer to AfreecaTV.”
BoA later apologized on Weverse, stating, “I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable due to my reckless behavior and immature remarks during the SNS live on the 5th.”

She added that she apologized directly to Park Na-rae and vowed, “I will reflect on myself and strive to show a mature demeanor in the future, remembering the weight that one word or action can carry.”
Jeon Hyun-moo also expressed, “I immediately apologized to (Park) Na-rae, who was unnecessarily mentioned during the live broadcast. I want to again thank and apologize to Na-rae for her understanding despite the uncomfortable situation.”
BTS, including Jungkook, is scheduled to release their 5th full album ‘ARIRANG’ on March 20. Jungkook’s livestream, however, divided fan opinion. While some fans expressed support for his candidness, others voiced disappointment over his reckless behavior.
Jungkook had already faced a scandal involving aespa member Winter, and with this latest drunken livestream, it remains uncertain whether he will issue further statements.
