BLACKPINK Jisoo has reclaimed the top spot on the Mubeat music video chart.
According to the global fandom platform Mubeat, Jisoo’s first solo song ‘Flower,’ released in March, took the first place with the highest number of views on the June music video chart.
Since achieving first place in April’s Mubeat music video chart with a cumulative view count of 200 million, Jisoo has once again risen to the top, proving her hot popularity.
Jisoo’s ‘Flower’ MV achieved the highest ranking by recording a total of 80 million views on YouTube and the Mubeat app in June. The song also claimed the first-place trophy on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ in the first week of July, proving its long-lasting popularity.
The background behind the song’s long-lasting popularity is attributed to the ‘Flower Challenge,’ which became popular on short-form platforms like TikTok, particularly among the MZ generation. Celebrities such as Blackpink members Rosé and Lisa, rapper Lee Young-ji, and popular character Pengsoo started the trend, which then spread to regular users.
