Jung Hae-in’s ‘Invisible Man’ Treatment at Fashion Show Reignites Racism Debate After Rosé Incident

Jung Hae-in

Actor Jung Hae-in appeared to be sidelined at an overseas fashion show, raising allegations of racial discrimination.

Jung attended the Dolce & Gabbana event during Milan Fashion Week last month. Footage from inside the venue circulated online, showing Jung’s appearance and sparking accusations of racial discrimination.

In the video, Jung is seated between Benson Boone and Kerem Bürsin, with the men on either side sitting in a so-called “manspreading” posture. Jung appeared uncomfortable as the two men conversed over him, which drew further attention. He appeared to look straight ahead or display a somewhat uncomfortable expression. Additionally, GQ’s official account escalated the controversy by posting a video from the event but excluding Jung Hae-in’s tag.

Viewers are divided over the video. Some commented, “He’s being treated like an invisible man,” “I’m not even a fan, but it’s annoying,” “It’s really rude,” “That spreading posture looks more uncomfortable,” “It’s definitely intentional,” while others opined, “It’s just bad manners, not racism.”

Previously, Blackpink’s Rosé also faced allegations of racial discrimination at an international fashion show. Last year, Rosé attended the Saint Laurent 2026 Spring/Summer Collection, and Elle UK faced criticism after its official account uploaded a group photo that excluded her.

Rosé had taken a group photo with Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, and Charli XCX, but the posted picture omitted her. Eventually, Elle UK apologized, stating, “There was absolutely no intention to offend anyone,” and “The post has been deleted, and Elle UK promises to do its utmost to fully reflect the diverse spectrum of our deeply respected readers in future coverage.”
