Actor Kim Seon-ho, who addressed tax evasion allegations, showcased his unchanged ticket power.
According to recent ticket sales outlets, performances featuring Kim Seon-ho quickly sold out right after the third wave of tickets for the play ‘Secret Passage’ became available.
All performances featuring Kim Seon-ho sold out in the first and second waves as well as the third, indicating that despite the controversy, his fans remain loyal.
Previously, Kim was embroiled in allegations of tax evasion, accused of using a family corporation to benefit from tax deductions. The controversy involved claims of gifts disguised as salaries and corporate card usage with his parents listed as directors. This drew significant attention as it emerged shortly after reports surfaced that fellow label artist Cha Eun-woo had reportedly faced a 20-billion-won tax penalty.
Regarding this, his agency, Fantagio, stated that “Kim Seon-ho established a corporation in January 2024 for acting and theater production,” and during the period leading to a new contract with Fantagio in February 2025, “all activity income was processed through the corporation.”
The agency added that “After recognizing the potential for misunderstanding in operating the corporation, it ceased its activities, and there have been no substantial operations through this corporation for over a year.”
Furthermore, Kim returned all corporate card usage, family salaries, and paid additional personal income tax besides the existing corporate tax. “I deeply regret maintaining the corporation for about a year without fully understanding its operations,” he commented.
Despite this situation, Kim Seon-ho remains focused on preparing for his performance. The ‘Secret Passage’ production company is raising anticipation by releasing rehearsal photos as the play opens today (13th) at the NOL Theater Daehangno Woori Investment Securities Hall (Middle Theater). There is keen interest in how Kim, showcasing his enduring appeal, will engage the audience.
