Actor Lee Hyun-jin has shown a powerful transformation in ‘Puzzle City’.
Disney+’s original series ‘Puzzle City’ is an action drama about Tae-jung (played by Ji Chang-wook), who lives an ordinary life until he is unjustly involved in a heinous crime and ends up in prison. He learns it was all planned by Yo-han (played by Do Kyung-soo) and seeks revenge.
Lee Hyun-jin plays the role of a ruthless killer, Cheong-ri, who makes his first appearance in episode 8. The character blends flashy outfits, long hair, fluent Chinese, and daring action.
He appears nonchalantly eating tanghulu to hip music and soon reveals his brutal killer nature. His cold eyes and strange smile emphasize the cold-blooded villain, and his unwavering obedience to Yo-han completes Cheong-ri’s chilling charisma.
Lee Hyun-jin’s daring action performance left a strong impression. His relentless and sharp movements maximized the character’s brutality, increasing the tension as the series progressed. Each action scene captured the character’s calculated and calm demeanor.

Lee Hyun-jin shared, “As ‘Puzzle City’ concludes, it’s a very special feeling. I am grateful for the support people have shown for the character Cheong-ri, which was a great encouragement. Thank you sincerely.”
He added, “Playing Cheong-ri was both a new challenge and a significant task for me. Being my first killer role, it required a lot of thought and effort in both action and emotion, but it was a meaningful time where I grew as an actor.”
He expressed gratitude to the director who always supported and trusted him on set, fellow actors, staff, and viewers who loved the show, hoping the shared times remain good memories. “I will continue to embrace change and challenge, always striving to present a better self,” he said.
Lee Hyun-jin graduated from the Broadcasting Department of the Communication University of China, showcasing fluent Chinese.
Appearing in various Chinese dramas, films, and variety shows, he made a mark after his activities in Korea, especially with his performance in SBS’s ‘National Death Vote’. His impressive character transformation and stable acting in ‘Puzzle City’ raise expectations for his future endeavors.
