Jo Jin-woong’s juvenile crime controversy has poured cold water on ‘Signal 2’, and Lee Je-hoon’s interview is being revisited.
On the 5th, Jo Jin-woong’s agency, People Entertainment, partially acknowledged the allegations of juvenile wrongdoing, stating, “After confirming with the actor, there was a mistake made during his minor years.” However, they firmly stated that he was not involved in sexual assault allegations.
Amidst the controversy, attention is also on ‘Signal’ Season 2, scheduled to air on tvN next year. Concerns have increased, especially since Jo Jin-woong plays a detective role.
Along with this, an interview with lead actor Lee Je-hoon during ‘Signal 2’ filming is gaining attention.
In April, Lee Je-hoon mentioned ‘Signal 2’ during an interview for JTBC’s weekend drama ‘Negotiation Skills’.
At that time, Lee Je-hoon, who was busy filming ‘Signal 2’ and ‘Taxi Driver 3’, said, “I am sorry to the production team for this situation.”
He continued, “There must be positions in schedule adjustments for each project, so I let it go,” adding, “Do as you please. At least for this year, I have no life. I just let go and go with the flow. When they ask, ‘When do you rest? Find your personal happiness,’ I’ve given up for this year.”
Despite the hard work of the actors, the unexpected controversy involving Jo Jin-woong has put the anticipated project ‘Signal 2’, returning after 10 years, to the test.
