Lovelyz’s former member Mijoo has tested positive for COVID-19.
On the 26th, her agency, Antenna, released a statement saying, “We would like to inform you about the confirmation of COVID-19 and the subsequent schedule changes regarding our artist, Mijoo.”
The agency explained, “Mijoo experienced flu-like symptoms on the 26th and immediately went to the hospital after receiving a positive result from a self-diagnosis kit. She has been diagnosed with COVID-19.”
As a result, the statement continued, “Mijoo will be unable to participate in today’s scheduled ‘Music Bank’ as well as the live broadcasts of ‘Show! Music Core’ and ‘Inkigayo.’ Additionally, the fan sign event originally planned for the 27th and 28th in celebration of her single album ‘Movie Star’ release will be temporarily postponed.”
Details regarding Mijoo’s future activities, including the fan sign event, will be announced at a later date. The agency promised, “We will strictly follow the quarantine guidelines and prioritize Mijoo’s health and safety, providing support for her treatment and recovery.”
Meanwhile, Mijoo made her solo debut after nine years with the release of her first single, ‘Movie Star,’ on the 17th.
