Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk, stars of the Netflix original series ‘Lady Dua,’ showcased their unique chemistry in a recent photo shoot.
Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk recently participated in a photo shoot with fashion magazine Elle.
The photo shoot captured the tense and peculiar chemistry between the two protagonists of the mystery thriller.
Reuniting for a project eight years after ‘Stranger,’ the two actors discussed their experiences portraying Sarah Kim, a woman who desires to become a luxury item even if she’s a fake, and Mu-gyeong, a man pursuing her ambitions.

Shin Hye-sun said, “I was really happy to hear that Lee Jun-hyuk would be acting. While I wished it had been a melodrama, he truly embodied Mu-gyeong on set.”
Lee Jun-hyuk added, “When I think of Sarah Kim, no other actress comes to mind except Shin Hye-sun. She is an actress you trust as you watch her perform over the years, and I believed she would portray Sarah Kim well.”
Explaining his attraction to the project, Lee Jun-hyuk stated, “While some projects follow the actors’ emotions, ‘Lady Dua’ feels like it adheres to a structured narrative. Rather than delving deep into an individual’s inner thoughts, it feels as if we exist within situations observed by viewers. Therefore, it was a new challenge.”

Shin Hye-sun referenced a line from the drama, “Can you say it’s fake when you can’t tell it apart from the real thing?” She expressed her excitement, stating, “While filming, I found it fascinating how uncertain I felt about whether my character was real or fake. I was constantly curious about who Sarah Kim truly is, why people feel a certain way about her, and what the people around her are saying, balancing truth and lies.”
When asked about their most frequent exchanges on set, Lee Jun-hyuk responded, “Since we had to focus and maintain certain conditions, we often asked, ‘Are you okay today?’ We couldn’t predict the characters’ emotions; instead, we had to capture subtle expressions in their eyes, breathing, and emotional states, making it inevitable to focus on each other.”

Shin Hye-sun added, “I think this is our unique chemistry. We intensely focused on each other. Rather than gradually expressing planned emotions, it felt like we advanced step by step while exchanging breaths. This is likely something only we can truly feel.”
Lee Jun-hyuk further stated, “I truly focused on Shin Hye-sun. In this project, we had no one else to rely on but each other.”
‘Lady Dua’ will be released on February 13, and the photo shoot and interview with Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk will be available in the February issue of ‘Elle.’
