BLACKPINK’s Rosé has once again demonstrated the enduring power of her global mega-hit song ‘APT.’ this year.
The Black Label announced that Rosé and Bruno Mars’ duet, ‘APT.,’ was named Apple Music’s Song of the Year. It also secured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 2025 ‘Global 200’ and No. 9 on the ‘HOT 100.’ Furthermore, the song ranked first in the domestic music category and sixth in the global music category on TikTok’s ‘2025 Music of the Year’ chart.
Rosé’s pre-release single ‘APT.,’ from her first full-length album ‘rosie,’ launched in October last year, ignited a global sensation. It holds the record as the longest-charting K-pop song on Billboard’s ‘HOT 100,’ staying on the chart for 45 weeks, and its music video has accumulated over 2.2 billion views on YouTube. After dominating 2024, ‘APT.’ continued its record-breaking streak in 2025, demonstrating its powerful influence.

‘APT.’ also achieved remarkable success on year-end charts. On Billboard’s 2025 chart, ‘APT.’ secured the top spot on the ‘Global 200’ and No. 9 on the ‘HOT 100.’ In addition to being named Apple Music’s Song of the Year, it was among the most-used songs on the TikTok platform, further solidifying its global phenomenon status.
With ‘APT.,’ Rosé became the first K-pop artist to win the Song of the Year award, a top honor, at the ‘2025 MTV Video Music Awards,’ one of America’s four major music award shows. She also made history as the first K-pop artist to be nominated in two major categories at the prestigious ‘Grammy Awards,’ receiving nods for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, as well as for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Meanwhile, Rosé continues her active schedule, which includes completing BLACKPINK’s exclusive ‘DEADLINE’ world tour.
