Actress Song Hye-kyo revealed that over the past five years, she has learned to love herself by keeping a gratitude journal.
The fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar Korea released three cover versions featuring Song Hye-kyo. The covers capture an early spring aura highlighted by her radiant charm and androgynous short hair. In these images, she showcases her perfect figure and timeless beauty. The photoshoot’s concept, “Flower from Concrete,” portrays her blooming against the backdrop of a modern white villa. Wearing striking pink and blue outfits and a flower-embroidered hooded zip-up, Song embodies the image of a single blooming flower. As a Fendi ambassador for five years, she participated in showcasing Fendi’s new 2026 S/S collection.

In an interview following the photoshoot, Song expressed her affection for her role as Minja in the upcoming drama Slowly But Intensely, reuniting with writer Noh Hee-kyung. She said, “Minja values success over love and is a woman who will stop at nothing to achieve it. She lives with the attitude that everyone is beneath her. Her journey from the bottom to the top is truly tumultuous. Watching her relentless struggles from a third-person perspective makes her seem pitiable. Sometimes, even thinking about Minja at home brings me to tears.”
Regarding her transformation to a short haircut for the role, she commented, “I believe a character is complete when you consider, ‘What would this person’s style be like?’ The writer suggested a short cut, imagining Minja would have it. Although there was concern about an actress sporting such short hair, there was nothing to fear if it suited Minja.”

She also mentioned that through keeping a gratitude journal with Noh Hee-kyung, she has come to love herself. “When working on a project, I think about the role all day, but when I’m not, I try to clear my mind. I make plans that require action, like when to walk the dog, clean the room, or finish tasks by next week. There are days that bring me down, but I’ve found ways that make me happy, so the down times are never long. Writing a gratitude journal doesn’t guarantee happy days, but now I’ve learned to love myself on any day.”
Song Hye-kyo’s cover and pictorial can be found in the January 2026 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and the fashion film is available on the official website, Instagram, and YouTube.
