Actress Song Ji-hyo won the ‘Best Actor Award’ selected by film actors at the ‘2025 Seoul International Film Awards.’
On the 10th, Song Ji-hyo received the honor of winning the Best Actor Award in the film ‘House of Meeting’ at the ‘2025 Seoul International Film Awards.’
‘House of Meeting,’ which was released on October 15, tells the story that begins when Tae-Jeo, a 15-year veteran correctional officer (played by Song Ji-hyo), meets Joon-Young (Do Young-seo), the daughter of inmate Mi-Young (Ok Ji-young). It portrays the reconnection of three people isolated for different reasons through their ‘meeting.’
Returning to the big screen after five years with ‘House of Meeting,’ Song Ji-hyo finely depicted the emotional line of Tae-Jeo who changes upon meeting Joon-Young, thereby maximizing the drama’s immersion.

Song Ji-hyo charmingly began her acceptance speech, saying, “I haven’t had much luck with awards. I want to say everything that comes to mind.”
She continued, “‘House of Meeting’ is a significant work as it was filmed during a time of many concerns as an actress. I am deeply grateful to the director, staff, and fellow actors who entrusted me with such a film.”
She concluded with a warm acceptance speech, saying, “Congratulations to everyone, and thank you for making it possible for me to be here today. I will continue to strive to become a better actress.”
Song Ji-hyo has been actively working in various fields, including SBS’s variety show ‘Running Man,’ this year’s drama ‘The Confidence Man KR,’ the films ‘House of Meeting’ and ‘The Savior,’ and the documentary ‘Deep Dive Korea: Song Ji-hyo’s Haenyeo Adventure.’ She was recently appointed as an ambassador for Goraebul Station in Gyeongbuk.
