Group Epik High held a candid discussion with BTS members RM and Suga.
On the 26th, Epik High released a new episode titled ‘Have You Eaten? ft. BTS RM, Suga’ on their official YouTube channel EPIKASE.
Epik High prepared a hearty home-cooked meal for RM and Suga, who had just returned from an overseas schedule. RM expressed his respect, saying, “These days, Gen Z think you guys are YouTubers,” and “Without Epik High, BTS wouldn’t exist.”
RM, impressed by Epik High’s familiarity with various memes, exclaimed, “I think I need to learn from you,” while Suga humorously remarked on their lively conversation, “It’s amazing that this is a conversation between people in their 30s and 40s.” Epik High fondly replied, “To us, you’ll always be nineteen,” showing their affection.
The episode continued to showcase the friendship between Epik High, RM, and Suga. Tablo praised Suga’s exceptional cooking skills, reminiscing, “A year ago, Suga invited me and Haru to his house and cooked rice cake soup for us.” Tablo jokingly lamented RM getting a driver’s license, recalling their “pact of poor sense of direction.” Nonetheless, they shared joy over commonalities like blood type and MBTI. RM’s bewilderment with Epik High’s unpredictable candid discussion added more humor to the episode.

Ahead of BTS’s performance at Stanford Stadium, Epik High suggested taking a group photo at the ‘Crying Tree,’ the site where a documentary about Tablo’s degree forgery controversy was filmed, which flustered the members. Tablo claimed it’s “a great place to ward off bad luck” and made a daring promise to start working on a solo album if they took pictures there.
The group also looked back on the history of BTS from Epik High’s perspective while sharing home-cooked dishes prepared by Mithra. They shared unheard stories, from meeting Suga when he was a trainee in 2010 to encountering BTS as a whole in a waiting room in 2014 when Tablo was suffering from a kidney stone, and Suga texting Tablo before the 2017 American Music Awards. RM and Suga’s candid conversation further energized the atmosphere.
Finally, Tablo commented on BTS’s comeback with ‘ARIRANG,’ highlighting its impact: “Simply titling the album that way creates a ripple effect.” RM added, “As we are all Koreans, we wanted to redefine our own Arirang.” Tablo expressed deep respect, noting, “It’s even more meaningful that a globally beloved group made such a choice.”
