TWICE member Momo revealed she had a tooth extracted during the group’s world tour, raising concerns among fans.
Recently, Momo communicated with fans through the platform Fans, saying, “ONCEs (fandom name), I suddenly had a tooth pulled in Chicago, and just a short time later, my left cheek is still swollen today… please understand if I look too swollen.”
During the Chicago concert, the pain was so severe that she couldn’t sleep. She visited a local dentist in the morning and was informed that the condition of a previously treated nerve had worsened. While she needed to return to Korea for proper treatment, the tour schedule made immediate travel impossible.
Momo explained, “It wasn’t supposed to be extracted, but there was no time. Since we had to perform, I reluctantly had it pulled at the dentist’s decision.” She added, “I didn’t want to remove it but had no choice. I’ll probably need to get an implant when I return to Korea.”
Fans reacted to the news with comments such as, “She can’t even get treated properly because of the tour,” “Teeth are so important, what should she do,” and “What if something goes wrong.”
TWICE has been on their sixth world tour, ‘THIS IS FOR,’ since July last year, starting with a concert at Incheon’s Inspire Arena. The group has toured globally across Japan, Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe, and has continued the U.S. leg of the tour since the end of last month.
However, the tight schedule has raised concerns about the members’ health.
Recently, Dahyun halted activities due to an ankle fracture, and Chaeyoung also missed some schedules due to health issues.
