YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk has announced the 2026 activity plans for their artists.
At midnight on the 4th, YG Entertainment uploaded a video titled ‘2026 YG PLAN | YG ANNOUNCEMENT’ on their official YouTube channel. Last August, Yang discussed activity plans for TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, and he once again provided updates on these groups.
Yang introduced BABYMONSTER’s plans, stating, “We plan to release a mini album around early May, and the album’s title is ‘CHOOM’.”

He elaborated, “The Korean font for ‘CHOOM’ has an oriental feel and looks really cool. We will release the song ‘CHOOM’ first, and although I can’t reveal the main title track yet, there will be another powerful title track different from ‘CHOOM,’ so this will be a new BABYMONSTER album unlike anything you’ve heard before.” He also committed to releasing a full album in October.
He further explained that BABYMONSTER’s second world tour will begin in June. “This time,” he said, “we’ll arrange BABYMONSTER’s largest world tour yet, visiting not only North America but also South America, Europe, and Oceania.”
Regarding TREASURE, Yang stated, “In a previous interview, I mentioned the beginning of the second phase for TREASURE. That was when the last album was already completed. This upcoming album will probably mark the start of phase two for TREASURE.”

Yang shared an anecdote where members approached him, expressing their desire to do ‘hip-hop’. He elaborated, “If you see their new album, you’ll be surprised to think, ‘TREASURE is doing this kind of music?’ It’s a cool album featuring hip-hop tracks TREASURE has never shown before, and we’ve worked hard on it, so you can expect great things.”
He added that TREASURE’s Asia tour will continue through May, followed by a mini album release in June and a world tour beginning early next year. Additionally, Yang mentioned, “This year, we also plan activities for both T5 and a new group of three rappers ‘Hyun.Ha.Yo’ under a new name.”

Finally, regarding BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary, Yang stated, “This is probably the key point of my announcement today. People miss BIGBANG and are eager to see their performances again, primarily because they want to experience their numerous hit songs live in person once more.”
He confirmed that an agreement has been reached to hold a concert for BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary. “We declare that BIGBANG’s global tour will commence,” he announced with a smile.
He added, “Since the company and the artists have worked together seamlessly for so long, I don’t anticipate any difficulties. All YG staff will do their best to ensure a perfect and splendid performance befitting BIGBANG’s name.”
The video concluded with a caption revealing YG’s plans to prepare a new boy group, aiming for an autumn 2026 debut and further raising expectations.
