aespa has achieved ‘Double Million Seller’ status with their new mini album ‘My World’.
aespa’s third mini album, ‘My World’, released on May 8th, has surpassed 2,011,388 copies sold (as of May 21st) within just two weeks, setting a new personal record and continuing their career-high march.
In particular, this album achieved the highest pre-order sales figure (1.8 million copies) and subsequently topped the first-day sales chart for girl groups in K-pop history (1,372,929 copies, according to Hanteo Chart), as well as the first-week sales chart for girl groups in K-pop history (1,698,784 copies). Despite being a mini album, it has achieved over 2 million copies sold, solidifying its status as a ‘Double Million Seller’.
Furthermore, aespa’s title track ‘Spicy’ has topped various domestic and international music charts, including Melon Top 100, Genie, and Bugs, showcasing their dominance in the realm of music streaming. They also swept the trophies for first place on music programs such as Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on the 18th, KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ on the 19th, MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ on the 20th, and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on the 21st, achieving a quadruple crown.
Meanwhile, aespa will attend the red carpet event at the 76th Cannes Film Festival as the official ambassador of Chopard, the official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival.
