BABYMONSTER, YG’s next-generation girl group, made a significant impact with an explosive live performance at the ‘Gayo Daejeon’.
On the 25th, BABYMONSTER performed ‘WE GO UP’, the title track from their second mini-album, and the B-side track ‘PSYCHO’ at the ‘2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon’ held at the Incheon Inspire Arena.
Opening with ‘WE GO UP’, BABYMONSTER captivated the audience with overwhelming vocal power and charisma. Their dynamic rapping, refreshing high notes, and perfectly timed ad-libs created a thrilling atmosphere. Synchronized choreography with their dancers amplified the song’s energy, igniting the venue.
The stage for ‘PSYCHO’, revealed for the first time on broadcast, swiftly shifted the mood. Their captivating facial expressions, matching the song’s mysterious mood, enhanced audience engagement. In the latter part, their complete immersion in the concept and bold performance, reminiscent of headbanging, drew cheers from the audience.
BABYMONSTER previously garnered attention for their flawless live performances on large year-end stages. Their stages at last year’s ‘Gayo Daejeon’ and this year’s ‘MAMA’ both ranked first in video views among performers on YouTube. The recent ‘Gayo Daejeon’ performance also drew praise for their solid handheld microphone live vocals and their ability to master diverse concepts, sparking anticipation for future endeavors.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is currently on their ‘BABYMONSTER [LOVE MONSTERS] ASIA FAN CONCERT 2025-26’ tour, spanning 12 shows across six cities. After achieving explosive reactions and the highest views among performers at their debut ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ appearance, they will continue to engage fans in Bangkok on the 27th and 28th, and in Taipei on January 2nd and 3rd.
