BABYMONSTER has confirmed their appearance on a music show due to the viral popularity of the challenge for their first album’s track ‘Really Like You.’
According to YG Entertainment, BABYMONSTER will perform ‘Really Like You’ on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ airing on February 5. YG Entertainment arranged this special stage in response to both the unexpected love and the track’s strong resurgence, which led to numerous requests.
Recently, ‘Really Like You’ has been making a significant impact on various platforms. It claimed the top spot on TikTok Korea’s Music Viral 50 chart and reached 68th on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs, along with re-entering the charts on YouTube Music, Melon, and other major domestic music charts, setting new records. It is also gaining global popularity, ranking 4th for related keywords on China’s largest short-form platform Douyin, and climbing into the top 50 on Japan’s Line Music K-pop chart.
Through this ‘M Countdown’ appearance, BABYMONSTER plans to deliver a warm and exciting stage. Critics praised their live performance at a Japanese fan concert last December as a “new K-pop winter season song discovery,” sparking their popularity. They plan to respond with a performance filled with their unique winter emotions.
