The group BLACKPINK has been receiving continuous praise from major foreign media outlets for their musical excellence and record-breaking achievements.

According to American music magazine Rolling Stone on the 28th of last month (local time), the publication highlighted BLACKPINK’s third mini-album ‘DEADLINE’, describing it as a return to their peak. “The world has been waiting for the magic the four members create when they are together, and this album delivers a result that heightens expectations for their future,” it reported.

Rolling Stone especially praised the musical variation and expansion evident across every track, applauding the broad genre selection from the glamorous EDM track ‘JUMP’, the dynamic title track ‘GO’, the club-based ‘Me and my’, the ’80s new wave sound of ‘Champion’, to the acoustic ‘Fxxxboy’.

The magazine praised the overall confidence and bold charisma characteristic of BLACKPINK in ‘DEADLINE’, noting, “The distinctive individuality the four members have built over time showcases their presence in the best way BLACKPINK knows how,” highlighting their synergy as a complete group.

Billboard provided an in-depth review of all the tracks and recognized BLACKPINK’s musical achievements with this album. Regarding ‘GO’, it stated, “The intense rap, smooth vocals, and innovative beat drop are impressive. It is the best track on the album and truly represents BLACKPINK,” adding that “the chorus ‘Blackpink’ll make ya’ will become a catchphrase that everyone shouts together.”

Forbes, a business magazine, extensively covered the success of ‘DEADLINE’, highlighting BLACKPINK’s overwhelming global competitiveness. It noted the album’s record-breaking first-day sales for a female K-pop artist (1.46 million copies), emphasizing that BLACKPINK is “the only K-pop female artist to have multiple albums selling over a million copies in a single day.”

‘DEADLINE’s global indicators support this high praise. The album topped iTunes album charts in 38 regions worldwide, dominating the global charts. On China’s largest music platform, QQ Music, not only the title track ‘GO’ but all tracks from the album entered the top ranks, achieving a chart sweep.

Additionally, BLACKPINK’s influence on YouTube, with their official channel boasting 100 million subscribers, is overwhelming. The ‘GO’ music video became the most-watched video in 24 hours after its release, reaching number one on YouTube worldwide trending and fastest-rising music video charts, currently holding the top spot for trending music with over 34 million views.
