BLACKPINK has added another music video to its list of those surpassing 1.5 billion views, showcasing the group’s immense global influence.
According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s ‘As If It’s Your Last’ music video surpassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube at 2:57 AM on the 2nd. This milestone was reached approximately 8 years and 7 months after its release on June 22, 2017.
With this achievement, BLACKPINK now boasts five videos exceeding 1.5 billion views. Previously, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ (2.3 billion views), ‘Kill This Love’ (2.1 billion views), ‘BOOMBAYAH’ (1.8 billion views) music videos, and the ‘How You Like That’ choreography video (1.9 billion views) had also reached similar viewership.
To date, BLACKPINK has produced a total of 50 pieces of content, each surpassing 100 million views on YouTube, reinforcing their title as ‘YouTube Queens’ with unmatched records. Their channel has the highest number of subscribers among global artists, with 99.7 million, and a cumulative view count exceeding 41.1 billion.
‘As If It’s Your Last’ is a dance track characterized by addictive lead synths and romantic lyrics. It topped the iTunes song charts in 74 countries, including the U.S. and the U.K., and dominated worldwide charts. It was also selected as the “Most Loved K-pop Video in the World” that year.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to release their third mini-album, [DEADLINE], on the 27th at 2 PM (KST). This marks their first album release as a group in approximately 3 years and 5 months since their second full-length album, [BORN PINK].
