BLACKPINK’s Rosé is drawing praise for her generous gesture towards her hairstylist.
Recently, the YouTube channel ‘Workers’ High’ shared a video titled ‘Did Rosé from BLACKPINK fly to LA just for her hair? Cha Cha, her blonde specialist for seven years, reveals top industry secrets.’
The video featured Cha Cha (Cha Jong-hyun), who rose from earning 1.5 million KRW as a designer in Cheongdam-dong to becoming a renowned artist for global stars like BLACKPINK, Sunmi, and (G)I-DLE.
During the broadcast, Cha Jong-hyun recounted a touching story involving BLACKPINK’s Rosé.

Rosé, known for her trademark blonde hair since debut, reportedly undergoes root touch-ups every two weeks to maintain her style, despite potential scalp damage.
These two-week touch-ups are performed without exception, even when Rosé is abroad.
Cha Jong-hyun said, “It has been two weeks since the last dye, and Rosé is in the U.S. or Paris? Then I must go. In places like the U.S. West Coast, I arrive in the morning, reach her hotel by noon, have lunch, and start bleaching. After 3 to 4 hours of dyeing, I shower at my hotel and head back to the airport,” detailing the arduous travel schedule.

“It takes 12 hours to get to LA, and I don’t even stay there for 12 hours. My body couldn’t take it. I started having issues with my hip and tailbone,” Cha confessed, revealing the hardships of international business trips.
Amidst these challenges, Cha recalled, “I mentioned that the trip seemed tough, and kindly, Rosé booked me a business class ticket for that single day’s schedule! Being wealthy doesn’t automatically mean someone will buy you a business class ticket. It showed her regard for me. So I worked even harder,” expressing his gratitude towards Rosé.
