Bruno Mars made his official comeback on February 27 with his fourth solo studio album, “The Romantic,” his first in 10 years. The album is currently available on major music streaming platforms worldwide.
The album includes “I Just Might,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart upon its debut, and “Risk It All,” a track showcasing Bruno Mars’ signature ballads and romantic feel. Alongside the album release, the music video for “Risk It All,” directed by Bruno Mars and Daniel Ramos, was also unveiled.
To celebrate the album’s release, various offline and online activations were launched globally. These include a mobile flower truck distributing roses, ‘love lock’ walls in major global cities, and a pop-up store called The Romantic Flower Shop in Los Angeles.
“The Romantic” follows Bruno Mars’ recent steady success on global charts. His Grammy-winning collaboration “Die With A Smile” with Lady Gaga quickly became the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams in Spotify’s history and held the number one spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart for 18 weeks. Additionally, “APT.,” a collaboration with ROSÉ, was listed as the best-selling single of 2025 by the IFPI and was the most-streamed song worldwide on Apple Music for the year 2025.
This track topped the Billboard Global (excluding U.S.) chart for 19 weeks and the Billboard Global 200 chart for 12 weeks, and won the ‘Song of the Year’ at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. It was also nominated for ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Record of the Year,’ and ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ at the 68th Grammy Awards.
Bruno Mars continues to prove his status as one of the most influential artists in the music industry. He became the first artist in Spotify’s history to surpass 150 million monthly listeners in January 2025, and in October 2022, he became the first artist in RIAA history to receive diamond certification for six singles.
As of 2026, more than seven of his songs, including “Just the Way You Are” (21x RIAA platinum, the highest-certified song in RIAA history), “Uptown Funk” (with Mark Ronson), “Grenade,” “That’s What I Like,” “When I Was Your Man,” “Locked Out of Heaven,” and “The Lazy Song,” have achieved RIAA diamond certification.
His debut album “Doo-wops & Hooligans” holds the record for the longest-charting studio album by a male solo artist on the Billboard 200 chart (over 345 weeks). Bruno Mars has also achieved 10 Billboard Hot 100 number-one hits to date. Moreover, his hits between 2024 and 2025 topped the Billboard Global 200 chart for a total of 30 weeks.
