
BTS has announced the title of their new album, their first release in 3 years and 9 months.
On the 16th, BTS revealed on the global fan platform Weverse that their fifth studio album, which will be released on March 20, will be titled ‘Arirang.’ The album consists of a total of 14 tracks and draws attention with its title, named after the iconic Korean folk song.
‘ARIRANG’ captures the essence of BTS’s identity and the emotions they wish to share with music fans. As they prepare for their long-awaited comeback, the group has focused on their roots, their starting point, and their inner stories. They aim to weave their identity as a group from Korea and the longing and deep love ingrained in their hearts into their music. ‘ARIRANG’ symbolically represents BTS’s identity and the sentiment of their new album.
Since their debut, BTS has consistently delivered sincere music infused with the members’ experiences and thoughts. This authenticity has resonated with many, becoming a strength of their songs. The new album is particularly expected to resonate widely with global audiences by addressing universal emotions like longing and deep love.
Meanwhile, BTS will embark on a new world tour starting with a performance at the Goyang Sports Complex on April 9. This tour will include a total of 79 performances across 34 cities worldwide, setting a record for the most dates in K-pop history. Concerts in Japan and the Middle East are expected to be added, further expanding the tour’s scale. BTS will be the first Korean artists to perform in several stadiums in the U.S., including El Paso, Foxborough, Arlington, and Baltimore. Additionally, they plan to enhance audience immersion by attempting a 360-degree stage production.
