Boy band BTS has officially confirmed their comeback on March 20.

On January 1, Big Hit Music announced BTS’s return, marking their first full album release in approximately three years and nine months since their anthology album ‘Proof’ launched in June 2022.

BTS first shared the comeback date through a handwritten letter sent to their fan club, ARMY. In celebration of the New Year, BTS delivered handwritten letters to fans, expressing gratitude to those who have unwaveringly supported them. The letter included the date ‘2026.03.20’, hinting at their comeback.

Members expressed their gratitude and excitement through personal messages, such as “I’ve been eagerly waiting” (RM), “Thank you so much for waiting” (Jin), “Let’s enjoy this year together. I love you” (Suga), “Finally, our thoughts have become reality!” (J-Hope), “The year for us to meet has come” (Jimin), “Expect more and better memories in 2026!” (V), and “Miss you all! Please take care of us this year” (Jungkook).

The letter was a gift for ARMY members who have maintained their global superfandom membership on Weverse over the past three years. Members who didn’t receive a physical letter will have access to the same message on Weverse at the end of January. This ensures fans worldwide, who shared the wait, can connect with the sentiments of all seven members.

On the last day of 2025, BTS welcomed the New Year with fans through a live broadcast on Weverse, reflecting on the past year and sharing hopes for the future. They expressed their wish for a smooth comeback and album success.

Meanwhile, following the new album release on March 20, BTS will embark on a major world tour. Official channels will reveal further details about the new album and performances later.
