BTS member Jung Kook is solidifying his position as a prominent male solo artist in the global music market with his first solo single, ‘Seven.’
According to the latest chart (as of the 15th) released by the world’s largest music streaming service Spotify on the 16th, ‘Seven,’ which was released on the 14th, topped the ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ chart for two consecutive days with 13,485,590 streams in a day.
Jung Kook also claimed the top spot for two consecutive days on the Japanese Oricon ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’ (as of July 15th) with the ‘Clean Ver.’ of ‘Seven.’ The ‘Explicit Ver.’ of the song ranked third.
‘Seven’ has been sweeping the top of domestic and international music charts since its release.
Jung Kook became the first Korean solo artist to enter the Spotify Global Chart and immediately reach the top spot. He also set a new record as a male solo artist by taking the number one spot on Korea’s largest music streaming site, Melon TOP 100 (as of midnight on the 15th), in the shortest amount of time.
Meanwhile, after the release of ‘Seven,’ Jung Kook took the stage as the first performer of the US ABC ‘2023 Summer Concert Series,’ marking the start of his full-fledged solo activities.
