BTS Kicks Off World Tour with 360-Degree Stage, Promises to ‘Heat Things Up’

BTS

BTS has kicked off its world tour with an electrifying start.

On the afternoon of April 11, BTS staged ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG” at the Goyang Sports Complex main stadium. The three-day concert series began on April 9 and concluded on April 12.

BTS opened with powerful performances of ‘Hooligan’, ‘Aliens’, and ‘Run BTS’. Dazzling fireworks, lasers, and special effects accompanied their entrance in all-black outfits, drawing cheers from the audience.

The group also used selfie handheld cameras to add dimension to the ‘Run BTS’ stage.

Jungkook said, “We’re starting our second show. The weather might still be cold, but we’ll heat things up for you.”

V added, “It’s been a long time since we’ve done a 360-degree show. Being surrounded by ARMY in 360 degrees feels amazing.”

Jimin said, “I can hear ARMY’s voices so well. After releasing an album titled ‘Arirang’ in four years and embarking on a concert tour after six and a half years, we aimed to try new things in many ways. This might be your first time experiencing this stage, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we prepared it.”

Suga said, “We prepared a lot to show you new things. We worked on stage selection and trying new things. It may feel unfamiliar, but please enjoy it to the fullest.”

The world tour is expected to draw approximately 132,000 fans. The Goyang concerts sold out immediately upon ticket release, demonstrating the anticipation of music fans for BTS’s world tour.

The group will continue with concerts at the Tokyo Dome on the 17th and 18th, followed by 85 performances in 34 cities across North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and more. This marks the highest number of performances for a single tour by a Korean artist. Additional performances in Japan and the Middle East have been announced, suggesting an even larger tour scope.
