BTS is set to return with ‘SWIM,’ a song celebrating the love of life.
On the 4th, BTS unveiled the tracklist for their 5th studio album, ‘ARIRANG,’ via their official channels. The album’s logo and bold red tape graphics create a strong visual impact.
The new album features a total of 14 tracks, including the title track ‘SWIM,’ along with ‘Body to Body,’ ‘Hooligan,’ ‘Aliens,’ ‘FYA,’ ‘2.0,’ ‘No. 29,’ ‘Merry Go Round,’ ‘NORMAL,’ ‘Like Animals,’ ‘they don’t know ’bout us,’ ‘One More Night,’ ‘Please,’ and ‘Into the Sun.’
The new album encapsulates BTS’s identity and the emotions accumulated throughout their journey. The title track, ‘SWIM,’ is an upbeat alternative pop song that speaks of persevering through life’s waves and moving forward at one’s own pace, embracing life’s challenges with love. RM participated in writing the lyrics, adding authenticity to the song’s message.

The opening track, ‘Body to Body,’ serves as an anthem for celebrating with their audience. ‘Hooligan’ encapsulates the journey of charting new paths worldwide. ‘Aliens’ expresses ambitions directed towards the world, while ‘FYA’ highlights the excitement surrounding their comeback. ‘2.0’ illustrates the current phase of the seven members as they embark on a new chapter.
The sixth track, ‘No. 29,’ along with the title track and the eighth track, ‘Merry Go Round,’ narrates stories of enduring life’s repetitive cycles. ‘NORMAL’ addresses feelings experienced both on and off stage. ‘Like Animals’ conveys a vigorous zest for life, while ‘they don’t know ’bout us’ demonstrates self-assurance. ‘One More Night’ captures the desire to prolong a blissful moment. ‘Please’ contains candid emotions of wanting to remain together in any situation. The album concludes with ‘Into the Sun,’ which is themed around a confession of racing towards a loved one.
Last summer, BTS held a songwriting session in Los Angeles to work on their music. Star producers, including Grammy-award winning Diplo, Ryan Tedder, and El Guincho, contributed to elevate the album’s quality.
BTS is scheduled to release ‘ARIRANG’ at 1 PM on the 20th. On the following day, the 21st, they will host ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square, which will be streamed live on Netflix.
