
BTS member J-Hope made a significant charitable contribution, donating a total of 350 million won to celebrate his birthday on February 18.
J-Hope donated 200 million won to Asan Medical Center in Seoul. The funds are designated to improve medical facilities and environments for children and adolescents, support home treatment for critically ill pediatric patients, and operate psychological healing programs. Through the children’s welfare organization ChildFund Korea, he also provided a 100 million won scholarship for juniors at his alma mater.
His charitable efforts also extended to animal welfare. He contributed 50 million won to animal protection organizations, combining personal funds with proceeds from his collaboration auction with Human Made, “HUMAN HOPE: A JOOPITER Special.” These funds will support the activities of Animal Rescue 119 and My Love Baduki with Pets.
Through his agency BigHit Music, J-Hope stated, “I am grateful to be able to make meaningful contributions on my birthday. I wanted to provide even a small amount of support to children undergoing treatment, students pursuing their dreams, and animals in need of protection. Thanks to the immense love and celebration from ARMY fans, I was able to do good work. I hope 2026 is a hopeful and warm year for everyone.”
J-Hope has consistently engaged in philanthropic efforts, with cumulative donations totaling 500 million won to Asan Medical Center. At ChildFund Korea, he has joined the “Green Noble Trinity Club,” an exclusive group for ultra-high-value donors with cumulative contributions exceeding 1 billion won.
