BTS leader RM recently garnered attention for a pointed remark directed at their agency, HYBE. On the 21st, BTS held a group live broadcast on Weverse. During the broadcast, the members shared their aspirations for 2026, declaring, “Let’s make 2026 BTS’s year,” “It’s an important year for us,” and hinting that “Something big is coming.”
Amid these discussions, leader RM voiced dissatisfaction with the company, stating, “I wish our company showed us more affection.” His uncharacteristic candidness garnered attention as he added, “I don’t usually say things like this,” and “I hope they take better care of us.”
Previously, RM had explained why the group could not make an immediate comeback despite all members completing their military service and being ready to regroup. He shared his honest feelings, stating, “Many people asked, ‘Why was the latter half of 2025 wasted?’ ‘Why didn’t you do anything?’ But we didn’t want to waste it. I wanted to do many activities after discharge.”
He further commented, “There are things I can’t speak about, and there were reasons we decided not to have activities in the latter half. That’s not my right to disclose.”
RM also confessed to contemplating the team’s disbandment “thousands of times,” stating, “We’re continuing because of our love for each other and our respect for you,” and revealing the challenging times he endured.
Meanwhile, rumors involving BTS’s Jungkook and Aespa’s Winter have circulated, contributing to a somewhat unsettled atmosphere. Both agencies have yet to release official statements regarding the dating rumors.
With all members having completed their military service, BTS is set to release a new album as a complete group next spring.
